I have shopped here for my business for over 10 years. Not a great deal, but I have spent some thousands of dollars here over the years. Refused to honor coupon that they mailed to me in marketing flyer. 20% off propane. No indicated specific restrictions on coupon except valid dates. Did mention that some terms may apply. Took (2) 30 lb Propane tanks for refill. :Offered coupon. They said only applied to 20 lbs of propane. (Not on coupon, not in store, verbal only.) We offered to have it apply to first 20 lbs of one tank. Refused, so apparently physical size restriction of possible volume was another trigger, not on coupon, not in store, verbal only. Perhaps a 20 lb cylinder would have triggered a response for a 1 lb portable camp stove refill only. I don't know, but I know this. Not on the 96% of retailers I intend to do business with. That $3.00 will cost them far more in personal dissatisfaction of the shopping experience and that of my spouse, who was the impacted party. She has a long memory, and it is unlikely they will see her again in her lifetime. The indications to us were that they were betting the farm on honoring that coupon. Their refusal to even honor the verbally stated restriction, when we purchased 3 times that amount has left a long lasting bitter taste for this retailer. The dollar value pales adjacent to the principle of offering a promotion with no intent of honoring it.
